Protection from discrimination

The Bankruptcy Code protects the debtor from discrimination based solely on the fact that he has filed bankruptcy.  You cannot be legally terminated solely because you are a debtor in a bankruptcy proceeding.

This is not the same as protection from discriminatory treatment based on your financial history, however.  It is just the right to deal with financial troubles through bankruptcy that it protected.
